This programme targeted investing over $1 billion over the transport system through improvements to speed management and roads & roadsides projects over the 2018-2021 period. The investment into State Highways resulted in over 160 fewer death and serious injuries road crashes.I was previously seconded into the North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery Alliance as the NZTA Earthquake Recovery Manager/Owner Interface Manger. Prior to NCTIR I was responsible for leading the team responsible for the maintenance of the Auckland/Northland State Highway network. Key challenges will be delivering an integrated, safe, responsive and sustainable state highway network.
