My role as a chief engineer is to take the lead on engineering solutions, making surethat our tools and techniques are at the forefront of innovation, developing policies,standards and practices and acting as the voice of engineering throughout Openreachwhen working with customers and stakeholders.Whilst working I adhered to health and safety regulations to make sure that I amkeeping myself and others around me safe. Working for Openreach has allowed me toexpand on my skills and work ethics, teaching me to make calmly and effectivedecisions whilst working under pressure to secure my task targets and to deliver firstclass customer service. To do my role as chief engineer i have to provide the skill to be able to read the local network maps andplans to ensure correct procedures are being followed by myself and the team, whilstfollowing the company's health and safety legislations and regulations. I haveexcellent communication and relationship building capabilities as well as solidbusiness acumen and this allows me to work with our stakeholders. The role requireshaving leadership qualities and a forward thinking approach whilst being aware of thecompany's finances and finding ways to limit expenses is a crucial part of the rolethat allows the company to reach the maximum THP whilst keeping under ourfinancial quarterly targets.

Being allocated survey packs daily, driving up and down the country tovarious customer sites, great customer service skills required for meetingnew customers, taking photos of the cable routes, obtaining asbestos reportsand floor plans then arranging civils and cable works for the VM design andplanners. Transferring all information onto an excel spreadsheet then drawingall the planned routes for senior planners to then finalise and prepare forinstallation.

Reinstatement, hot lay tarmac, use of various asphalts 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and SMA, siteclean up and removal of all sign lighting and guarding once job was the job wascomplete. ● Groundworker At JN Bentley I have worked on various challenging projects,Project 6 - Severn Trent Water and the Rolls Royce Framework.● The project involved working on a 3000 metre rising main pipeline, whichincluded the construction of air valve chambers, washout manholes and pumpstations.● Here my duties included reading linear drawings, being a plant operative,undertaking the electrofusion welding on different sized pipework ranging from100mm-225mm at which I had to adhere to the high-quality standards neededto pass each joint.● I also built the manholes and assisted with concrete pours via following● the shuttering process before each pour.Grindleforge - Shifnal Installing a 200 metre pipeline from the bore well to theriver using 250mm ductile iron pipe and flow metres, plug valves, gate valvesand finishing off at the head wall and into the river.
