As a Hilton Finance Director/Comptroller, responsibilities included financial accounting management, banking, cash management, budgeting, financial statements, insurance, regulatory compliance, gaming compliance, legal liaison, IT, purchasing, capital expansion projects, staff development and providing support to the management team as well as the corporate office.Accomplishments:• Developed and implemented the first consolidated corporate accounting center (Chicago) for Hilton Hotels Corporation. Consolidated various accounting functions for the Palmer House-Chicago, Chicago Hilton and Towers, O’Hare Airport Hilton and the Waldorf-Astoria in New York resulting in $1.2 million dollars in annual savings.• As a result of the successful Chicago consolidation, implemented a larger consolidated facility in Phoenix that included Hilton Hotels properties from New York, Miami, San Francisco and Honolulu. Hired and trained 125 employees operating an 18 hour/7 day a week office ultimately serving over 30 Hilton properties throughout the country resulting in $5.3 million dollars in annual savings. This model is still in existence today on the East Coast.• Served as property Comptroller at the Seattle Airport Hilton, Phoenix Hilton, Chicago Hilton and Towers and the Reno/Flamingo Hilton Hotel and Casino.• Chicago Hilton- opening Comptroller, oversaw $200M renovation & construction budget 1,800 rooms.• Flamingo Hilton-Reno, oversaw $65M renovation & construction budget 604 rooms.• Seattle Airport Hilton, opening Comptroller, oversaw $40M renovation & construction budget with complete demolition of Hotel rooms, new 180 room tower addition.
