CurrentRepresentative experience:• Tim has acted for the government of Nigeria since the mid-1970s, when he was involved in the state immunity cases arising out of the cement crisis. He led the team advising Nigeria in the land and maritime boundary dispute with Cameroon before the International Court of Justice. The team also assisted Nigeria in its negotiation of maritime boundary treaties with Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé e Príncipe and Benin and continues to advise on a number of national and international boundaries relating both to Nigeria and other parts of the world• Represented Botswana in its river boundary dispute with Namibia before the ICJ• Several high-profile cases in the 1980s and '90s, including the Lloyd's/PCW litigation, the Barlow Clowes liquidation and BCCI• Currently acting for several governments and anti-corruption commissions recovering assets looted by former heads of state and high-ranking government officials• Advised governments on anti money-laundering and proceeds of crime legislation and the setting up of anti-corruption agenciesPublications:• Co-author, “The Bakassi Dispute and the International Court of Justice,” Routledge, January 2018• Co-author, "Corruption and Misuse of Public Office," Oxford University Press, 3rd edition, 2017
