I’ve dedicated my life to finding my flow state. Music is my first love, and from my humble beginnings making noise with my friends in the basement, to my proudest moments sharing the stage with other passionate and creative individuals, getting lost in the creative process has been both a means and an end. The world of programming is no different - when the ideas are flowing, complex logic seems self-evident, structures spin themselves up organically out of nothing, and the code practically writes itself. The same sense of artistic exploration that fueled my music now ignites my code.In my years as a musician and educator, I found an endless source of inspiration through collaborating with diverse minds, forging relationships that enriched my life with a wide variety of perspectives and exciting challenges, affording me with boundless opportunities for growth. Transitioning into the role of a software engineer, I have been delighted to encounter invigorating new challenges and opportunities to collaborate with a fresh host of talented and compassionate individuals, working on agile teams to design and implement exciting solutions to real-world problems. From the first time I picked up a drum stick to the day that I wrote my first function, I have never stopped honing the skills that continue to serve me in my career - autonomy, adaptability, empathy, and a strong aptitude for effective teamwork. I geek out on the elegance of tidy, modular code, and I am eager to develop software that is not only functional, but also intuitive. When I’m not whiling away the hours building a new web or mobile application, you can find me playing pickleball or hockey (go Oilers!), or geeking out on movies and chess.I’m always striving toward continued growth and building transformative relationships, so hit me up if you’d like to connect and collaborate!Front-End: JavaScript (ES5 and ES6), React/React-Native, Jquery, Styled-Components, Axios, HTML5, CSS3Back-End: Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Nginx, RESTful APITesting/Deployment: Jest, Mocha, Chai, AWS: EC2 / S3, Docker, Loader.ioDeveloper Tools: Vim, Git, npm, Webpack, Babel, Agile Methodology, TDDYou can explore my work on github: github.com/timdecillis
