Recent high value/high profile challenges have included: successfully defending, at trial, NHS England in a case in which a bid was not considered following issues around submission; representing a local authority in lifting an automatic suspension following a challenge to the procurement of ANPR cameras related to establishing a Clean Air Zone; successfully representing a number of CCGs in opposing an application for expedition to trial; representing a large NHS client (and successfully avoiding proceedings being issued against it) in a construction related procurement dispute; successfully representing an economic operator in relation to a dispute regarding contracts awarded under multi-million pound framework agreement, the case settling on very favourable terms; and successfully obtaining an order for strike out on behalf of a defendant client on the grounds of limitation. Tim has been recognised in the Legal 500 for this specialism. Tim regularly provides training to clients on procurement litigation case law and strategy.Tim also regularly advises clients, both in the public and private sector, in respect of commercial and contractual disputes. His recent work includes representing an NHS Trust in a large value dispute relating to the provision of defective scanning equipment (the case settling on favourable terms at mediation); acting in a multi-million pound dispute relating to alleged fire defects at a hospital; and advising a commercial client in a multi-million pound breach of confidence claim (that case settling on favourable terms one week into a three week trial in the Commercial Court in London).
