I have been entrusted to lead the team in Universal Hydrogen who will convert ATR-72 aircraft to Hydrogen power

I have the privilege to lead the engineering community in Airbus, delivering engineering solutions to the exciting world of UAS in both the defence and civil domains. It’s so exciting to be a part of aviation’s next big step forward!

To lead the team who will; • Test the Beluga XL - Systems and Structures Lab Tests - Systems and Structures Ground Tests - Flight Tests • Design, manufacture and install all of the Flight Test Instrumentation

Providing technical input to the business management arm of the A380 Airframe design organisation, working with the Wing and Rear Fuselage & Empenage teams.

Mission – to protect the ramp-up of Single Aisle family at the same time as introduction of the New Engine Option (NEO) into the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in 2014, a solution is sought by the program leaders to ensure that the design organisation is able to react to design related problems seen during build and that the associated design can be changed rapidly. I am leading the Wing design element of creating this new process.

Mission - To manage a design-lead cross-functional team to deliver all flight-test aircraft to the flight crew in the correct configuration for test for all areas under Airbus UK Local Chief Engineer’s responsibility. This includes• Producing Design data (Special Instructions)• Producing Manufacturing Instructions• Ordering parts and managing large spares inventory• Performing the work on the aircraft.Planning this work and the subsequent Flight and Ground tests is also performed in association with all of the other Flight Test Centre partners.Details - Expanded once more, to support A400M flight test certification campaign, and finally to create a core Flight Test support organization including:• Coordination Team• Design Support• Manufacturing Engineering Team• Logistics Team• Flight Test Ground crew I was responsible for securing funding, recruiting all resources and strategic planning

Expanded once more, to support A380 flight test certification campaign, the Flight Test support organization included:• Coordination Team • Design Support• Manufacturing Engineering Team• Logistics Team• Flight Test Ground crewI was responsible for securing funding and recruiting all resources into the team. I now have focal points per program for all Airbus UK issues in the flight test Centre and the team is responsible to manage aircraft configuration changes for test, and reactive support to aircraft-level snags. This covers:• Wing – Normal Installations & Flight Test Instrumentation• Landing Gear – Normal Installations & Flight Test InstrumentationThis work includes producing all Special Instructions, ordering parts and operationally directing the coordination, design engineering, logistics and Ground Crew teams.

Expanded to support A340-500/600 flight test certification campaign, the Flight Test support organization included myself, 1 design engineering head and 13 manufacturing heads. I was responsible for securing funding and recruiting all resources into the team. I continued to act as the focal point for all Airbus UK issues in the flight test Centre, responsible to manage aircraft configuration changes for test, and reactive support to aircraft-level snags

Acting as single focal point for all Airbus UK issues in the flight test Centre. Now responsible to manage aircraft configuration changes for test, and reactive support to aircraft-level snags. For which the assistance of many functions located in the AUK Final Assembly Line Teams was required.

Joined the Airbus UK MAP Team and immediately began working on FTI in AUK responsible build areas (wing and landing gears).

First joining the group to work on FTI circuits design, I later became responsible for;• Long Range FTI lead engineer (program level coordination)• Leading Edge FTI designs• Wing-box FTI designs• Landing Gear FTI designs

First work in Design Office. Worked in the ‘Electro-dynamic Design dept. specializing in designing electrical wiring drawings.

Worked as skilled electronic / electrical assembler.

Four-year apprenticeship, beginning immediately upon leaving school.
