I hold the role of Lead Integration Developer in the Near Real-Time (NRT) and Batch Integration Team at Resolution Life Australia (RLA). RLA acquired AMP's life insurance business in 2020. The core task of NRT is to identify, modify and deploy jobs developed at AMP to integrate enterprise applications inherited by RLA under the IT Separation Program.I spent 6 years in NRT at AMP developing and supporting a multitude of integrations. Integration patterns are many and varied and utilise data objects including batch and XML files, web services and databases. The NRT code base is a bespoke C#.NET solution exposed by SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The NRT team is under constant pressure to deliver new code for projects running in parallel, provide production support, and maintain and enhance integration platforms. This role allowed me to develop formal leadership skills and immerse myself in Microsoft .NET programming.Prior to AMP I spent ten years as a data migration specialist implementing enterprise ERP and CRM applications including SAP, Salesforce, Siebel and Oracle OnDemand. Projects required complex data transformation above and beyond simple 'drag and drop' ETL development. During this time, I cultivated a deep understanding of database development and an aptitude for data analysis, reconciliation and presentation. I began my professional working life in retail and international banking. The discipline required to transact with accuracy persists in my approach to work to this day. Whether I am executing unit tests or writing a comprehensive release plan.I have over fifteen years' experience in the IT industry. I have worked in industry sectors including banking / finance, manufacturing, marketing, pharmaceuticals and federal and state government.
