On the private consultancy side, I have worked with local developers, architects and individuals to manage the planning process from concept to completion. This includes:• Identification and assessment of suitable sites for development,• Identification of supporting information for various proposals,• Preparation, submission and management of pre-apps, planning applications and appeals,• Communication with local authorities and continued liaison with officers to achieve permission,• Update and inform clients and stakeholders of progress and strategy.Some of the projects I have been involved in include the change of use of a listed building into 14 flats and erection of 17 dwellings, in West Somerset; the redevelopment of a petrol station to 20 flats in Gosport; and the erection of ten, three bed dwellings in Fareham.On the public sector side, I have worked for Hart District Council, Test Valley Borough Council, South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse District Councils and Aylesbury Vale District Council. These roles involve the management of a caseload of full, householder and pre-applications. All of the work I do requires a thorough understanding of the planning system and requires the ability to research and analyse relevant policies to create supporting information that clearly sets out the suitability of a site for development. I have excellent organisational skills and the ability to negotiate and communicate with a range of consultants and stakeholders.
