 Advising heads of department and their representatives on how to arrange events to raise the profile of various branches of the council to their key business partners and members of the public, to ensure that council funding is spent as efficiently as possible. Being the lead on key civic events involving the military, police and local faith groups, such as Armed Forces Day Remembrance Day and Holocaust Memorial Day. These events included a military parade involving all members of the armed forces in the borough, veterans such as Chelsea Pensioners & Ghurkha veterans, parading through Hounslow High Street. Played a key role in the organisation of the count floor for all General & Local Elections and Referendum since starting in 2015. During my tenure at the Council, we have moved the event from the civic building to the high streets, parks and open spaces, increasing the numbers of the public who can take part, as well as forging closer relationships with our key partners, working closely with the police forces and the terrorist units in preparation for certain events. Led the organisation of a park event hosting 10,000 members of the public to celebrate the 2015 Rugby World Cup, including main stage performances, risk assessments, negotiations, sporting activities, fun fairs, tendering for various food stalls for a multi-national food court, as well as the infrastructure required for each. The budget for this was over £130,000. This was the first event of its type held by the council and was very well received by both the public, as well as the directors of the council. Income Generation for the council via advertising contracts with third parties as well as leading in the design and consultation of a new Parks and Open Spaces strategy for the council, with a view towards income generation via third party hire to increase usage of borough parks and income to reinvest in regen projects for residents.

Camberly

• Personally responsible for the operational management of the C&B department at Frimley Hall Hotel, part of Macdonald Hotels, the C&B department making up the larger portion of its annual revenue.• Involved in the direct planning of all events and conferences for both private and blue chip clients; this includes meeting the specifications of the events and liaising with the clients. • Worked regularly with companies such as Siemans, Sony, British Gas, BAE Systems, Centrica and Novartis, both in a conference and a banqueting capacity. • Organising staff, as well as diary management and schedules for the conferences and events, including devising rotas, work schedules, and schedules for the staff, as the department is open and in use 7 days a week• Processing orders of stock in relation to goods and services (such as large catering requirements).

Cain Manor, Hampshire

• Managing a busy private events venue which specialised in weddings, but could also provide conferences as well as a 5* banqueting service for any event from parties to award ceremonies. • Personally responsible for the operational management of Cain Manor, an Elizabethan barn-style manor house, which year on year is the busiest venue of the group and during my tenure was nominated best venue 2014.• Overseeing the presentation of the venue, including sourcing and directly managing a team of gardeners, maintenance staff and cleaners, as well as working closely with the kitchen and wedding planning team on the lead up and delivery of all events.• Involved in the direct planning of all events; this included meeting the specifications of the clients and liaising with our approved suppliers, all of excellent pedigree.• Organising service staff, as well as diary management and schedules for the weddings and events; in high season this often meant I was planning upwards of 12 large events at differing stages of completion at any given time.• Processing orders of stock in relation to goods and services, from hired laundry, sashes and chair covers during busy periods, to ensuring all the equipment required (such as hog roast machines, chocolate fountains and vodka luges) were all on site in time and in full working order.• Performing all HR duties, including the recruitment and training of new staff, as I had on average around 50 casual staff reporting directly to me during the holiday periods, as well as devising rotas and work schedules for the day of the event.• Producing post-event reports for the company directors, and contacting the clients to ensure that they were satisfied with the service received.

Surrey

• Having worked as a barman/waiter during my time at University, I joined the Spirit Group as an Assistant Manager and ran the business single-handedly between Nov 2009 and Jan 2010 until the new Manager was able to start. After 2 weeks of very fast tutoring, I became responsible for the back office systems, stock control and implementing licensing laws & regulations.• The previous management had not organised anything for the New Year, so as well as taking control of the busy Christmas bookings and pre-orders, I also organised the entertainment and with the kitchen manager, the food for New Years Eve. I am proud to say we actually managed to beat the sales of the previous year.• Oversaw the management of an extremely successful Gastro pub during their busiest times of the year.• Purchased stock; implemented new stock control procedures to put a stop to excessive wastage at the time, as well as implementing systems to keep an eye on cash control with the till systems.• Oversaw all account management, balancing of the books and other banking duties (including budgeting).

London

• Initially appointed as a clerical assistant; was quickly promoted to Data Collection Project Manager. • Oversaw the collection of data from math's markers during the SAT marking process, involving updating and cross-referencing a large spreadsheet.

Guildford, United Kingdom

• Helped set up the new Guildford office, in an attempt to open the Surrey and Hampshire market for a previously London based company.• Regularly liaised with financial heads of blue chip companies.
