At Veradermics, we are a team of dermatologists proudly developing first-in-class therapeutics that address patient needs in under-innovated dermatology markets. I co-founded Veradermics with our CEO, Reid Waldman, to create paradigm-shifting medical dermatology solutions and fill a void in innovation for common skin conditions that still have treatment challenges.As President of Veradermics, I oversee our research and development efforts focused on advancing five dermatologic candidates with potential first-in-class market opportunities for which we anticipate beginning multiple first-in-human trials in 2023.Our quickly advancing diverse pipeline targets large-market conditions seen in adults and children that are overdue for new treatment approaches. As a board-certified dermatologist with more than 10 years of clinical experience, I have seen firsthand the need for dermatologic innovation and am excited about the future of Veradermics.In the past few years, we have established a well-capitalized, clinical-stage medical dermatology company with numerous clinical milestones on the horizon. Our current focus is on advancing our pipeline of dermatologic candidates for common warts (verruca vulgaris), molluscum contagiosum, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss), and atopic dermatitis.Innovation has always driven me. As a recognized expert in innovation for both drug and device domains in dermatology, I have authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. I have also received national recognition for my work including being named a Resident of Distinction by the DermMentors Foundation and a past Grand Prize Winner of MIT Hacking Dermatology. I continue to be driven every day to lead my team at Veradermics to advance medical dermatology and impact the lives of patients.I also served as a United States Air Force active duty officer and proudly am still involved in the dermatology needs of our veterans.
