I am the primary system builder and integration engineer, this is my main role. I build, configure, install, patch and test servers, desktops, laptops and advise on the specification of these systems.Visiting SME customers sites to audit and document existing networks then redesigning or adding to as per the customers requirements. Following on from this I have then gone out to customer site to install new network equipment, servers and desktops. Removing and decommissioning old hardware where required and finally documenting all works carried out.Other day to day responsibilities include maintaining the company datacentre and network. Performing daily server room checks, weekly generator tests and troubleshooting when faults are detected. Trusted to be a key holder and on the security alarm call out list.Providing IT support to both internal and external customers over the phone and face to face. Training both senior and junior colleagues on current network infrastructure, business processes and advising on office software.
