I supported the appraisal team of a new global programme (GP) including EU co-financing on ‘soil health and agroecology’ in the conception, technical design & contract preparation. My tasks included but were not limited to the following:- Supporting project management in the review and conceptualisation of a new GP on ‘Agroecology and Soil Health’ in Sub-Saharan Africa and India (Preparation of presentations, protocols and Excel overviews as well as knowledge management)- Planning, implementation and follow-up of workshops with partner organisations (Communication and consultation with the EU (DG INTPA), BMZ and FMB (technical and methodological department of GIZ) on the technical design of the global programme)- Preparation, structured implementation and follow-up of appraisal interviews with GIZ subsidiary projects and potential international partners (including FAO, USAID, ENABEL, AFD, World Bank, SNV, AfDB, EU, BMGF and others, etc.)- Various support services, such as analyses, research and preparation of scientific publications on topics such as biofertilisers, financing of ecosystem services, employment promotion in the agricultural and food sector

For a global project on soil rehabilitation and conservation active in Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Benin, Kenya, Ethiopia, Madagascar and India, I supported the project and event management of transnational activities, wrote scientific factsheets (soil conservation, agroecology, transformation of agricultural and food systems) and a cookbook. I also provided technical advice on agroecology and translation services (EN, FR).

I had the unique opportunity to be part of the inspiring team of "Hommes et Terre" and contribute to the mission of regenerating degraded land in the Sahel.As a research intern, I was working on a value chain analysis with the goal to connect small-holder farmers in the Sahel with attractive oversees consumer markets (mainly in the neutraceutical and cosmetics market). Ultimately, we will be able to generate sustainable and constant income streams for the rural population involved in the agricultural sector. By implementing an agroforestry system within the reforested areas in Burkina Faso, Mali, Sénégal and Côte d'Ivoir, the farmers will be able to exploit the economic potential of the local tree varieties as well as to plant different vegetables and fruits for subsistance purposes.

Both within the country and remotely, I had the opportunity to gain profound insights into diplomatic relations and public policy. In the press, political and economic department, as well as the department for development cooperation I worked in Spanish on preparing, drafting, and writing protocols, reports and analysis. These include for example an analysis of the Nicaraguan Social Security system system, country risk analysis for development projects and the current state of development cooperation between NIC and Germany. Further tasks involved the following:+ Representation of the German Federal Government at official events, including including at the Nicaraguan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Chamber of Commerce or civil society organisations + Attending expert briefings on specific topics such as recycling and circular economy and providing executive summaries to leadership level + Conducting field visits to development cooperation projects for evaluation purposes + Providing daily press briefings to all Embassy staff + Developing a social media strategy for official Embassy channels, including competitive analysis and creative content production (videos, graphics, prose) + Direct written and oral communication with official Embassy counterparts in German and Spanish + Crisis management regarding COVID-19 pandemic and emergency evacuation of German citizens from Nicaragua

As a Team Leader I am responsible for 4 Marketing Managers. This includes team building activities, giving guidance and support to the new Team Members, coordinating their tasks, whilst being actively involved in the weekly planning of the committee's Leadership Body.

This task included the organisation of informational events, holding speeches in lectures and participating in marketing stuts in front of various faculties. In addition to that I was the first touchpoint for anyone who signed up for AIESEC in Maastricht.

This included warm-up excercies, technical sessions, games as well as off-court excercises.The age of the players was ranging from 5 up to 60 years.

As an intern at FEV, I got an insight in the working areas of "Mechanical Engineering" and "Powertrain Assembly" in their headquaters in Aachen. This included disassembling a V8 bus motor to replace the cylinder block with one containing measurement equipment and working in their machine shop.
