I am a freelance educator and creative practitioner, particularly focused on the Visual Arts and working with young people in the sector. I have 10 years experience of managing a large team of Arts educators and support staff at the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), and 30 years experience of teaching creative subjects in Further and Higher Education. I am now visiting tutor on the BA Commercial Photography programme at AUB, and for OCAD (Online College of Art & Design) specialising in Theory and Contextual Studies. In 2018 I was designated lead for an Ofsted Inspection at AUB which achieved Grade 1, Outstanding overall. I am a Moderator and Assessor for the University of the Arts, London Awarding Body and have delivered workshops and contributed to curriculum design at Institutions in Japan, China and India. I have worked with the World Design Council, building short Design courses for 11-18 year olds, initially in India. In 2022 I established an Artists run "Visual Arts Programme" at the Mowlem Theatre, Swanage which has so far presented 15 exhibitions with a complimentary Artists discussion programme. I am a practising Artist utilising Drawing within an Arts / Science context.
