Mistake proofing opportunities are also identified and addressed through FMEA analysis, station design and fixture design. Maintaining product, tool and fixture drawings within a PLM system. Assist in the designing of new tooling and fixtures. Worked with manufacturing, quality and supplier engineers on drawing changes and new tooling / fixture design.

Supervise the duties and work progress of the engineering standards group members. Analyze incoming change requests and prioritize projects and assign to group members. Ensure that all work completed by the standards group is accurate and complies with Company Standards, Policies, and Quality. Report metrics and group progress to engineering manager. Responsible to assist engineering manager with personnel management: including performance evaluations, hiring, termination, and training.

Design compressor systems from internal and external customer requirements. Create manufacturing drawings from engineering designs for manufacturing and production personnel. Create and develop engineering specifications and requirements for compressor manufacturing. Assure all design and engineering requirements are being met for in-house fabricated items and for purchased items. Report progress information and manufacturing information to supervisor.Projects encompassed: mechanical design of the compressor and associated parts manuals, piping and instrumentation design and layout, fluid flow design and layout, electrical instrumentation control design and layout, and comprehensive build instructions (including drawings) for both the customer and internal utilization. As a drafter I generate general arrangement, piping & instrumentation diagrams, electric schematics, component drawings, and assembly drawings.
