*Managed all financial aspects of Johnston Memorial Hospital, a 116-bed acute care hospital.Achievements:*Collaborated with administration to execute a strategic plan for growth resulting in 5% inpatient growth over a three-year period.*Led implementation of new HIS (hospital information system) and EMR (electronic medical record) system.*Collaborated with physician and hospital leadership to open a hospital-based outpatient surgery center.*Established subsidiary corporation employing 25 providers and over 100 team members.*Implemented productivity compensation system for existing and newly employed physicians.*Assisted in transitioning Johnston Memorial Hospital through an affiliation agreement (Joint Venture) with Mountain States Health Alliance.*Implemented Investment Committee to revise investment policy and risk return strategies.

*Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management of a large health system, including a 264-bed Archbold Medical Center, four affiliate hospitals, nursing homes, and multiple physician offices.Achievements:*Led improvement in operations utilizing new productivity and benchmarking system.*Implemented improved budget and financial review processes resulting in improvement in departmental and organizational operating margins.

*Successful application to CMS for Sole Community Hospital status, resulting in over $1 million in additional annual Medicare reimbursement.*Decreased days in Accounts Receivable from high 80s to under 60.*Led hospital information system selection process resulting in new HIS vendor.*Implemented Decision Support and Cost Accounting System.*Closed on $8 million tax exempt bond issue.*Promoted from Accounting Manager to Chief Financial Officer in June 1995.
