Science has always been a passion of mine. When presented with an unknown, I was raised to investigate. This has propelled me through college, my doctoral work, and now my postdoctoral studies. My curiosity continues to push me towards different areas of science, moving from organic chemical synthesis to amoebal biochemistry, I am now investigating the potential therapeutic role of bacterial species to prevent human gut epithelial damage to space type radiation.Though my scientific curiosity may be broad, my passion lies in space exploration and research. As an aspiring astronaut, I wish to further our abilities to reach deeper into the solar system.
