Growing up on my Grandparents ranch in Eastern Montana taught me the most important things in life are maintaining lasting relationships, friends, and family. I worked with my dad at Ferch's Carpentry doing everything from roofing to plumbing, siding and all forms of construction and was able to gain knowledge of all aspects of the industry. We had a family band called the Fiddling Ferch Family, and after work and on weekends could be found jamming and guesting at music festivals. After attending college at Montana State University, Billings, where I studied English and Communications, further convincing me that honest and clear communication is vital in business, I embarked on a career in cosmetology. My initiation in the beauty industry began as a stylist and in six months moved into management, and another year was promoted to regional manager and training director for the entire franchise.I subsequently bought and developed two full service Salons in a ten year period, sold the businesses and rejoined the family construction business with. After 50 years in business, my father retired, my son is engaged in other ventures and it is time for me to move to my next growth opportunity.At Ferch's Carpentry I was responsible for business development and sales, hands on and supervisory roles, project management, meeting budgets, writing contracts, all while maintaining exceptional customer service..Having been a successful business partner, and solopreneur, I attribute my success to doing what I say I will do, when I say I will do it, and finishing under budget. I am looking forward to joining a team that shares these same values.
