Responsible for continuous improvement of component manufacturing of Fuel injectors and fuel pumps. This included the precision grinding and milling of parts down to the micron level.Responsible for the review of monitoring procedures for precision machining. This includes the monitoring of process and analysis of data collected. My responsibilities are to review the data and champion corrective and preventive actions to improve the process.Responsible for the creation and implementation of procedures that directly impact the quality of the process.

Oversee all quality functions for 1st tier supplier to major automotive companies. Coordinate the quality efforts for development and manufacturing of decorative wheel covers (hubcaps, claddings, center caps).McKechnie is an established supplier of stamped metal components. General duties included quality systems maintenance, six sigma and lean activities, corrective actions, PPAP preparation, APQP management of programs, supplier assessments and approvals, coordination of D.O.E. programs, part and process validation, and programming of CMM for dimensional layout, 1st piece inspection and collection of SPC data. Responsible for APQP activities during the product realization process. This included direct interaction with quality teams from all major automotive companies. Also included was direct interaction with program management and engineering to ensure a smooth production launch. Activities included FMEA implementation, creation of flow charts and controls plans, capability studies, and PPAP preparation for customer approval.Responsible for continuous improvement activities in the stamping and chrome plating processes. This included many visits to supplier for on site assessments and team oriented improvements activities to improve both our processes and the supplier’s.Responsible for supplier quality including new supplier assessments, review and approval of PPAP submissions, monitoring performance and coordinating 8D activities and corrective actions.Responsible for programming CMM for dimensional layout, first piece inspection, and SPC data collection.Responsible for implementing improvements in the quality system including layered process audits, document management, and internal audit activities.Lead six sigma teams for improvements in 5S activities and process improvements in metal stamping.
