Several interesting assignments at the Schools Library Service helping with the end and beginning of term distribution of resources to the primary schools in the borough.

Provided a commercial business intelligence service to EEF members, using Factiva, BvD, Alacra, & Dialog. Market the service to members and raise awareness of business intelligence within EEF. Manage subscriptions.

Provide ad hoc and current awareness business research using Factiva, Datastream & Lexis Nexis, manage market data within Schroders.

1) Vendor Relations Manager: (Jan 2001 – Aug 2008)Major Responsibilities:- Advise on best products for banker desktops and the Mumbai Information Services team. Research user needs, analyse usage, stay abreast of the market.- Write business cases for contract renewals for senior management cost approval.- Provide guidance and mentoring for the Mumbai market data administration team.- Manage vendor relationships and resolve user problems.- Active participation in management of strategic global vendor relationships.- Manage European contracts. Liaise with Citi procurement, legal and IT departments.- Monitor budget performance, analyse expenses. Oversee invoice processing and inventory maintenance functions. - Continuity of business planning for Knowledge Services Group.Major Achievements:- Synthesised my researcher knowledge and experience to become a respected “market data guru”.- Saved in excess of £300,000 by scrutinising services, cancelling superfluous ones and replacing others with more cost effective equivalents.- Significant contributions as part of the team managing the 2004-2006 Citigroup market data RFP. This was a major project to standardise the junior banker desktop globally. Factset was chosen as the preferred source.- Following the Factset deployment I led the project to decommission the 10 products it had replaced.In 2005 a monsoon flood in Mumbai necessitated an 8 day invocation of the global Continuity of Business plan. I was entrusted with written communications to the business, COB providers, and other participants during the crisis.2) Senior Researcher (Dec 1996 – Dec 2000)Fulfilling information needs of bankers using a multiplicity of research products including: SDC, Datastream, ICC Juniper, Profound, Lexis-Nexis, BvD products, Factiva, Bondware, Loanware, Projectware, Dialog, Datastar, Citywatch, Shareworld, Multex.com, Multex Global Estimates, D&B, etc. Also responsible for managing subscriptions.
