About Tim Ford
Founder and Director of Feed Central. 21 years ago my wife Megan and I started Feed Central to allow Australian hay buyers to know what they were buying before they bought it and to ensure that they had access to consistent quality feed 365 days of the year. Today we have grown to a team of around 50 including truck drivers; sales; admin; quality assurance team; coders; logistics management etc. These days the Feed Central team do all the heavy lifting. My role is all around team development; operational strategy; relationship development and seeing the future. We were an AgTech company long before that was an even a word and we have proudly blazed that trial. We work to apply tech to everything from transport, to sales to inspections; because it cool; because we love new stuff; because it makes life better and because it improves the outcome for the client. Today we have one of the best known and highly used Ag trading platforms www.feedcentral.com.au. It allows sellers to differentiate and add value to the product and it allows buyers to search and filter so that can buy exactly what they need. Our business has grown over the years. Along with the trading platform we have a dedicated sales team; retail outlet; hay farms and a land development business. As I said the team does all the work…. Our 21st year is a milestone and we are celebrating. We are also reinventing ourselves; growing and adapting. A big thanks to all who have assisted us along the way. We are forever grateful for the support of a brilliant team and many loyal clients. We have a saying at Feed Central… we are so much more that buy; sell; test…. We are…. Team; family; friends - humble; simple;smart - cows; customers; results.

I enjoy leading a team of highly motivated people who continuously exceed their goals and managing a small group of corporate accounts. I founded Feed Central in 2002. Feed Central specialises in the marketing and quality assurance of hay and straw on a national basis. Moving in excess of 100,000 tonnes of hay annually Feed Central is Australia's largest fodder marketing business operating in the domestic market. Feed Central is developing into a diverse bulk commodity Feed Stuff marketing company, with large volumes of grain, meals and various other products now traded. Feed Central is also a niche export hay marketer, concentrating exclusively on fully certified organic hay into North Asian markets. Feed Central has extensive and unique quality certification services for Fodder and Grains. This is supported by our in field inspection team and our regional Quality Assurance Centres. Feed Central is the exclusive supplier of Dairy One Feed Testing Services right here in Australia. My other commercial interests include residential and commercial property development and significant solar electricity investment, combined with a small farming interest.
