Tim Gallagher has a diverse practice encompassing litigation and transactional law with an emphasis on commercial litigation, banking law, cable/telecommunications law, and nonprofit organizations law. He litigates at the trial court and appellate level including before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court. Tim has served on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Bar Association since 2015 and was elected as President of the Association in 2022, having previously served as Vice-President in 2021.Tim has also been a pro bono volunteer since his admission to the Bar in 2007. In addition to handling numerous pro bono cases, Tim has taken on a leadership role in pro bono efforts at the state and local level. In 2013, the Montgomery County Volunteer Lawyers Program (Montgomery VLP) was founded and Tim was elected as the first President of its Board of Directors. He served as President from 2013-2016 and as Past-President from 2017-2018. Additionally, Tim has served on the Alabama State Bar Pro Bono Celebration Task Force since 2012. He was appointed Vice-Chair of the Task Force for 2017 and served as Chair in 2018. He has also been a member of the Alabama State Bar Pro Bono and Public Service Committee since 2013. In 2022, Tim was awarded the Albert Vreeland Pro Bono Service Award by the Alabama State Bar for his pro bono service and leadership. In 2014, he was awarded the Montgomery County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award for his volunteer work in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, Tim was awarded the Montgomery VLP Medal of the Samaritan. He has also received the Alabama State Bar Pro Bono Exemplar Award multiple times. Tim was inducted as a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation in 2018.Tim's activities and honors in law school and college include the following: Dr. Julius W.
