I've been in oil field work basically since high school. Started out at TSB Oilfield construction and maintenance and worked my way up to foreman. Oil kind of slowed down so I moved to Turnbull Excavating. Again starting at the bottom and worked up to Supervisor, while there I tried my hand in the safety side, Involved in making up Turnbulls Safety manual and auditing. Started my own Excavating company in 2003. Owned and operated a rubber tired hoe . Started supervision in 2008. Mainly working for Tristar and at 1 time followed 11 drilling rigs . In June of 2017 I left the oilfield because of the lack of work. Went back to operating equipment at the local Coal mine. Shift work wasn’t for me. Working nights was doable but sleeping during the day I could not. Assisted a few local farmers for daily operations in seeding and harvest. Which was a blast but doesn’t pay very well. Currently working for Crescent Point as a battery operator. It’s enjoyable but I’m interested in getting back to the grind on site supervision for facilities and daily operations. I'm an easy going, hardworking, organized professional, and willing and able to strive for the best, Safety first but common sense is used everyday. I take pride in doing the job right and finishing it under cost and on time. Neat and tidy, I hate a mess or not being organized. Living on a acreage with a wife and 4 kids keep me busy while not at work. I love restoring and working on old cars, my backyard is full of old things from cars, trucks, tractors etc.
