PERSONAL STATEMENTI recently changed careers from IT to working in the brewing, distillery & retail businesses; first with Billson’s, a brewery & distillery in countryVictoria. I managed their Melbourne outlet for 6 months, with responsibility for retail sales, in-store marketing & social media, stock control & ordering, installing & maintaining the Point-of-Sale system, organising tasting & information sessions, and being the first point-of-contact for any potential wholesale customers.Since then I have been working at Acland Cellars, St. Kilda's iconic craft beer store, as well as attending farmers' markets for the Natural Distilling Co., a gin distillery from Gippsland specialising in hemp-based spirits.I am also an experienced QA Analyst & Project Manager with backgrounds in Retail, ITImplementation and QA Analysis environments.I have worked on many different retail products and projects, and have a proven track record ofsuccessfully implementing new applications, and changes to existing products, across a variety of operating systems for a range of different companies.I have had proven success at assembling and managing teams of contractors, third parties &colleagues throughout the lifecycle of projects to ensure successful implementation.Originally from the UK, I am now settled in Australia with my family, and have lived in Melbourne for the past 17 years.Following my career change I am keen to now continue working within the brewing and/ordistilling industries, and to learn as much as I can about this exciting business.
