▪ Received, weighed, recorded and processed samples of soil and water into an extract of the to be analyzed compounds; responsible for processing waste / hazardous waste according to laboratory protocol. ▪ The sample processing consisted of placing the soil sample in a cardboard tube contained in a glass beaker. The beaker was filled with hexane and acetone and placed in a Soxhlet extractor where the fats and other substances come out of the soil sample. The solution was then separated in a separatory funnel, injected into vials and taken to analysis.
