I have more than 30 years’ experience in the retail sector both in supermarkets and convenience. I always strive to achieve the highest possible standards at any given task and I have a passion for creating long term relationships with both my peers and my customers. I have experience in both shop and area management and have also spent time in distribution/head office functions, specifically around stock control and store orders/deliveries. I have the ability and experience to relate to a wide range of people which I find very useful in my current role when dealing with shared objectives/tasks. I am well organized and I have an eye for detail, whilst being able to focus on the bigger strategic picture. I see any form of planning a great strength of mine and I have been successful in managing teams of people throughout my professional career from small groups of Store Managers to large groups of store teams and recently a group of 4 regional sales managers.I have been married to my wife Linda for 22 years and have two children, Jessica 18 and Scott 20.
