Air Defense Battle Management Systems Operator

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

In 2017 I enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard. That June I attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, I was transferred to Charlie Battery 1-174th ADA in Marysville, Ohio. I deployed with Charlie Battery as a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve under the European Deterrence Initiative. While in Europe, I was promoted from the rank of Private to Specialist. I took part in 4 international training exercises with NATO allies and received an Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon.Upon returning from deployment, I was transferred to Bravo Battery 1-174th ADA in Woodlawn, Ohio where I served as a team leader of a 4 man sentinel radar team. Play-By-Play Commentator

Athens, Ohio, United States

Worked as a Play by Play and Color Commentator for the 2022 Southern Ohio Copperheads seasonDuring the 2022 Copperheads season, I broadcast and produced 36 games for the YouTube channel. I was not only responsible for providing play by play for the games, but also engineered and produced the stream. Juggling dual responsibilities taught me time management and problem-solving skills. Each stream needed to be built prior to the game to reflect the teams and players, as well as the sponsors for each game. I learned to balance this task with the broadcast preparations and other pre-game duties. I traveled with the team for all away games and was able to experience all the unique aspects of summer baseball across Ohio and Indiana. The broadcasts were crucial in elevating awareness of the team, who had taken a 2-year hiatus due to COVID-19. By the end of the season, the broadcasts were 8 of the 10 most viewed videos in the history of the team’s YouTube channel. I also had the opportunity to assist the Director of social media with creating graphics for the All-Stars. This gave me an opportunity to sharpen my skills with Adobe Photoshop and show them off across our social media platform. Near the end of the summer, I was offered an opportunity to work as a game day staffer and writer at the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All Star Game. I assisted with distributing jerseys and equipment, interviewing players for the league website and connecting with other interns across the league.
