Responsible for the development & oversight of io's offerings related to assisting clients improve their energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

In my role as Head of Developments I am the primary interface with client for facilities (fixed platforms, FPSOs, TLPs, Semi submersibles etc.). I am responsible for building and managing the technical team, including hiring of consultants and other positions, to provide developments input into field design concepts. My role includes the preparation of proposals and ensuring that the execution of projects is within budget and schedule.I provide guidance and oversight on best-in-class development design practices and state-of-the-art technologies, across all engineering disciplines, considering the interface with subsea, marine and subsurface. I formulate facilities designs solutions across all engineering disciplines for the life of field ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements, reservoir depletion strategies and flow assurance solutions to allow development of field development plans.

In my role as Offshore Technology Manager I was accountable to the SVP Offshore and Pipelines. I worked with CB&I project managers, proposal managers and business development managers to provide input to and resolve technical and commercial challenges that arose during proposal preparation and project execution.My role was multi-faceted, including:• Leading offshore conceptual studies and projects• Liaising with Clients and sub-contractors throughout the project lifecycle• Technical oversight of the technical and commercial submissions for proposals• Consulting on projects within CB&I and conducting ‘cold eyes’ reviews• Development of benchmarks for offshore project execution• Leading internal development exercises for offshore engineering.

In my role as Head of Systems Solutions I was hired to recruit and manage a team of engineers to undertake business planning, feasibility and conceptual studies for the oil and gas industry. Unfortunately the funding for the project was curtailed and therefore, the role was not able to be fulfilled.

As a study manager I was responsible for leading teams of engineers to complete projects and studies for Clients on offshore platforms and field developments. I was responsible for all Client interactions, ensuring that the contractual obligations were met, including planning and controlling the budgets for the projects.As a consultant I was responsible for solving some complex problems that arose during project and study execution. I was also responsible for liaising with Client technical and commercial representatives and on some projects providing independent technical and economic analysis during commercial negotiations for production sharing on an operated asset.Throughout both roles I was responsible for the development of junior engineers and I established the recruitment and mentoring scheme for graduate engineers within the company.Employee Director (elected to the Board by the employees) – November 2011 to November 2012I was elected to the board as the Employee Director by my fellow employees to provide an ‘employee perspective’ to the board of directors. This role involved voting on board motions, reviewing the company performance, setting budgets and establishing the longer term business strategy.

As a graduate process engineer I was placed on a variety of projects and gained technical knowledge and leadership experience. During my time at CB&I I undertook overseas assignments in India, the USA and China.I was promoted to senior process engineer and lead teams of engineers to produce the technical definition to the required project schedules and budgets. As lead process engineer, I was responsible for Client and inter-discipline communications, progress reporting and planning for the process team on these projects. Additionally I mentored junior engineers and assisted them in their training and development to become chartered engineers.
