Where to begin? Through a love of history and storytelling, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a few talents, I've found myself creating and producing multiple Emmy-winning holiday TV specials airing on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox stations across the country, overseeing the largest Memorial Day event in the nation, and building the most impactful digital content in the world solely devoted to sharing first-person stories from history. I can't say it was all planned.I've always had a passion for history. That led me to an opportunity to build, shape, and grow an organization dedicated to preserving and sharing incredible stories of heroes from our past, and present. Growing a small business, you've got to think small - no detail is too small. And you've got to think big - you really can change the world, if you're intentional with your approach. A graduate degree in economics taught me the importance of tradeoffs - money, and time. And it forced me to become adept at every kind of fundraising & revenue generation imaginable - corporate and foundation sponsorships, donors small and large, advertising - and you'll even hear me reading ads on YouTube. Then, about a decade ago, I discovered another passion. Show business. I won't lie, it's fun. And finding routes to elevate incredible stories of the kind of people we truly admire is the most rewarding experience I've found. That led to the creation of the Emmy-winning Veterans Day TV special, American Valor: A Salute to Our Heroes, spotlighting living legends, and involving Hollywood A-listers of all kinds, which I write and produce. Being on the line with Morgan Freeman as he records a script you wrote is a bucket list item, for sure.It led to The National Memorial Day Parade, also televised to 100 million homes, and the largest Memorial Day event in the country. And now to a YouTube channel entirely devoted to first-person storytelling from history, now with hundreds of millions of views and growing. Passion, vision, intention, and scale can lead to big things.It's been a ride. And it's all just getting started!
