Frisoli Youth Center Director

Promoted to Director of Walker’s Group Home, overseeing the operations, staffing and treatment of 10-15 children living in this 1:3 residential setting managing significant and high-risk behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Manage the budget of the program including reviewing and determining appropriate referrals for eligible youth. Maintained a complete census ensuring growth of the program despite a lack of referrals agency-wide. Oversee the services, education and treatment plans of the youth and their families to ensure they of high quality and are consistent with the mission statement of the agency.Provide supervision to experienced staff members and support their professional development goals.Manage all emergency situations as well as provide on-call support for the program after hours.

Provided support to the Director of Residential Services regarding the oversight of daily operations of the 1:3 Group Home and Respite programs. Responsible for the hiring, training and evaluation of staff performance.Assisted in case management of clients, conducting intakes, making referrals and coordinating family visits.Provided oversight of behavior management system, incident report monitoring and program policies and procedures.

Responsible for the oversight of the milieu of a residential house including coordination of staffing patterns, crisis intervention, off campus activities and transportation needs. Facilitated the hiring, training and evaluation of staff to ensure positive performance.

Provided a therapeutic milieu environment for children in the residential setting, maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Implemented treatment protocol established in children’s treatment plans, IEPs, and individual crisis management plans.Planned and implemented social and recreational activities for children on the residential unit and supported newer staff members in learning techniques to support these children in moments of psychiatric crisis.

Worked four consecutive summers managing and supervising camp staff, counselors-in-training and campers. Also oversaw training, evaluation and scheduling of all staff members. Ensured the day-to-day management of the site and all scheduled activities.
