Specialize in electro-mechanical packaging that required complex plastic and sheet metal design. Collaborate and partner customers’ sources and vendors to ensure designs and parts were developed for process while meeting budget constraints. Designed and developed respiratory safety equipment for firefighters using electromechanical packaging. Created lighter, more durable, efficient and less costly products. Adhered to strict NIOSH, SGI and NFPA regulatory standards. Verified designs thru tolerance analysis, stress analysis (linear analysis) rapid prototyping and evaluating for production readiness. Interfaced with suppliers ,manufacturers as well as internal teams to launch the company's SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus). Using CREO/Pro-E to develop robust parts and assemblies, then to the documentation of these parts and assemblies.

Project involved developing a wedge bonders and wedges for the power management and hybrid module markets. This equipment was used by the semiconductors industries for automotive, aerospace and consumer applications.Worked on a wide variety of designs that comprised of electromechanical components, RPM, die cast, sheet metal parts and plastic parts (including polycarbonate, polyethylene, acrylic, silicone, nylons and PVC). Supplied detailed designs and supported the Machine Shop. (1990 to 1994)• Designs included: Staging systems and precision holding • Developed validation criteria for component recognition and weld quality • The staging system required precision movement and repeatability• Maintained strict quality control standards

Completed multiple assignments for this contract design firm that serviced clients in multiple industries. Interfaced with customers to determine their needs. Contracted and assembled prototypes while maintaining design milestones and meeting schedules. Primarily involved in an 18-month project to designing an ultra-thin laptop for AST computers.
