Assigned to the Ambassador Protection Detail (APD) under the Worldwide Protection Services (WPS) for the United States Department of State as part of their High Threat Protection (HTP) program. Supervised no more than 30 personnel, and participated to protect the United States Ambassador to Iraq, working in conjunction with Department of State, and Other Government Agencies (OGA), personnel to coordinate daily operations requiring safe movement of the Ambassador and Executive Office personnel in and around the country of Iraq.Daily operations required delegation of responsibilities and defining scopes of work to personnel in order to maximize time, foster a safer environment and ensure all responsible parties are working within the parameters of correct, accurate and up to date information. Personnel management was important to carry out the day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders. Coordinated with company management to ensure subordinates maintained compliance with assigned tasks per the statements of work and base contracts. Conduct daily coordination meetings with various government agencies to provide deconfliction, structure and coordination for various activities, movements and missions in and around the area of operation. Held a Department of State Secret clearance.
