Tim Johnson is a highly experienced metallurgical and materials consultant with a reputation for providing authoritative and reliable pyrometallurgical consultancy covering precious metals, ferroalloys, non-ferrous metals, slags, resource recovery, waste remediation and energy from waste. He has a depth and breadth of experience in pyrometallurgical process modelling, equipment specification, technical writing, R&D, project management, and plant operation. He is a Fellow of IOM3, formerly a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and Technical Director for Tetronics, which specialises in plasma heating and melting systems for the waste, metallurgical and process industries and has over 90 reference plants around the world. Throughout his career his work has focused on plant and process design, development of new technologies, delivery of commercial and R&D projects and technical support to sales and marketing. He is a frequent speaker at conferences with over 110 publications in the open literature. He is also an accomplished opera singer, actor, stage director, playwright and adapter of plays and operas.
