Work collaboratively with business partners and fellow team members to build, configure, maintain, and support a server environment consisting of over 400 systems. Platforms supported include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Solaris(8,9,10). Systems include a mixture of physical and virtualized servers, including the use of Solaris Non-Global Zones and VMware guest servers.

Built, configured and supported a desktop computer environment of over 600 Windows systems. Also performed troubleshooting and repair of printers and basic networking.Assumed the role of backup administrator for the unix environment initially, and later on for the whole environment. Utilizing Netbackup, ensured business continuity in the event of data loss, by creating backup policy, and proactively monitoring backup jobs to ensure sucessful restoration if needed.Responsible for upgrading the Netbackup environment from 5.1 to 6.0, and from 6.0 to 6.5.

Worked on TSA testing center roll out project in Springfield MA, Houston TX, Boise ID, Honolulu HI, Miami FL. Setup of networks and computers; tested applications, troubleshooting, monitoring servers, network connections; logistics, shipping and on-site storage of computers, servers and networking hardware.

Department manager, directly overseeing a staff of 20 employees. Duties included scheduling, training, inventory management, and cash office reponsibilities.

Worked up through the ranks within the company, to become an assistant store manager in charge of operations. Duties included managing all aspects of a team of 35 employees. Additional duties included; monitoring P&L statements to ensure the store was as profitable as could be, making hiring decisions, scheduling, working proactively to prevent shrink, from the receiving dock, to merchandise leaving out the front of the store.
