Tim Koenig retired from 3M in May 2022 most recently working as the President of 3M's Electronics Materials Solutions Division. He led global team members who collaborate to solve problems for critical industries including semiconductor, consumer electronics, data centers, factory automation, and communications infrastructure.Tim joined 3M in 1985 as a manufacturing process engineer. Throughout his career, Tim has held leadership roles spanning several organizations within 3M and across various geographies, including Managing Director for 3M Denmark and Managing Director for 3M Russia and most recently Vice President of the Advanced Materials Division. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA from The University of St. Thomas – The Opus College of Business. He enjoys waterskiing, Alpine skiing, fishing, traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family.Tim is a big proponent of 3M’s McNight principle --- hire great people, empower them to make decisions and act, then hold each other accountable to do our roles.
