As Vice President of Risk Management I am part of the team that oversees the overall safety goals and risks of the company. My experience in safety goes back to the beginning of my career which I am very passionate about. The full definition of the position is: “Risk management is a process of analytical and management activities that focus on identifying and responding to the inherent uncertainties of managing a complex organization and its assets.” this encompasses and entire team starting at the top with the CEO and President to the safety Supervisor and the drivers. Former Cdl School administrator and instructor. Developed A Commercial Driver CDL Training School in North Central Wisconsin . As a former Safety Director I also assisted in the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules. Planned and implemented training for employees. . 25+ Years in the trucking industry, LTL, truckload, supervisory and management experience in these areas plus production, shipping/receiving and safety. Wisconsin State licensed CDL Instructor.State Certified as a 3rd Party DOT examiner. Chair the Wisconsin Motor Carrier Legislative Committee, as well as on the Board of Directors for the WMCA Foundation, ensuring our industries voice is heard at the State and Federal level. I also am part of the CVTA legislative committee helping get the word out to our Legislators on the importance of training in our industry attending Hill day in Washington D.C. I have participated in the local Junior Achievement and the boys and girls clubs. I enjoy public speaking about our great industry. Safety, compliance and thorough PROPER training is where it is at and that is my passion!! I also am humbled by recently being awarded the Wisconsin Motor Carrier Associations Safety Director of the Year.
