• Provide assistance in the installation of commercial flooring• Responsible for the removal of existing floor surfaces and preparation for new flooring materials.• Read and interpret work documents to lay new flooring • Help measure and cut new flooring to size• Cutting in and installation of new flooring• Picking up off cuts of new flooring• Keeping area clean and workable• Packing and unpacking of work truck

• Responsible for the fabrication of large scale mining equipment• Operate machines that are mechanical and computer driven• Operate and look after machines that shape or form metal by pressing• Check machine operation and report faults to a supervisor• Manually load the unformed or partly formed parts into the machine press• Responsible for the delivery of fabricated contract items as part of a construction team• Accountable for meeting set target dates for the fabrication of components• Heat treat metal parts and components• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines• Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting • Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective coatings• Examine detailed drawings or specification to find out job, material and equipment requirements• Proficient in the use of oxy and plasma profile cutters together with hand cutting• Interpretation of engineering drawings and organisation of required parts.• Overhead crane and forklift use as required (not licensed)• Ensure adherence to company rules, policies, disciplines and guidelines • Be open to learning all aspects of trade as presented.
