A Physiotherapist with a Masters in Manipulative Therapy, and Accredited Mulligan Concept Teacher, Tim has a private practice in Corrimal and lectures on various APA Manual Therapy and Acupuncture courses. His special interests include manual therapy, acupuncture, sports injuries and instrument joint mobilisation.Originally qualified as a physiotherapist in New Zealand, Tim obtained his Master of Applied Science (Manipulative Physiotherapy) at Sydney University in 1994. He has also undertaken a one year Diploma Course in Acupuncture in Sydney in 1983, completed the nine month Cumberland College of Health Sciences (Lidcombe) Course in Occupational Health & Safety Management in June, 1988 and regularly undertakes a variety of continuing education courses. Tim is currently the region's only physiotherapist who is a candidate in the Australian College of Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Specialisation programme. A member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association since 1980, Tim is also a member of the Manual Therapy Study Group, the Private Practitioner's Group and the Acupuncture Study Group, (Committee Member).Tim also has training in Muscle Energy, Podiatry for Physiotherapists and Pilates. Tim became internationally accredited as a teacher of the Mulligan Concept in 2001 and has taught post-graduate physiotherapists in South East Asia and Australia.
Tim and his wife Pam are developers of the new PIM: Physiotherapy Instrument Mobilisation concept and regularly give courses on these safe and effective mobilising techniques to physiotherapists in Australia and overseas.
When not working, Tim enjoys walking, exercising in the gym, riding his motorbike and travelling to see his beautiful granddaughter, Olive.
