Working within the Building Consultancy department of the firm which undertakes residential, industrial and commercial projects, refurbishment or new build projects. The department acts as designers, contract administrators, surveyors and project managers. My role within the department is the CAD Technician, producing all the relevant drawings required for projects using ArchiCAD. Operate as an individual responsible for organising one’s own workload and assisting senior staff with a wide range of projects. Main roles and responsibilities:•Production of working drawings including floor plans, elevations, site plans and sections.•Construction detailing.•Feasibility Plans.•Production of drawings for planning, tender, listed building consent and building control.•Assistance in the design of new build, extensions, refurbishment and change of use mainly in the residential and retail sectors.•Measured surveys of a variety of buildings including residential and retail.•Lease plans.

The company’s focus is in the area of commercial, retail and residential design. Main roles and responsibilities:•Measured Surveys of a variety of buildings including retail and residential.•Preparation of survey packs including floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans. •Photographic surveys and photo packs.•Experience in carrying out both residential and commercial surveys.•Site Research which involved creating a site research packs including photos, OS map of potential sites.•Topographic surveys using Leica 300 series.•Visual surveys – (equipments, services etc).•Design of new build and extensions for residential properties. •Design of residential and hospitality buildings for a farm redevelopment.•Applying for planning permission for a variety of projects including extensions, signage applications, full planning and outline planning. •Building regulation applications.•Feasibility plans. •Ensuring that the main contractual obligations and strategies are executed.•Maintaining and developing effective and lasting relationships with clients and project stakeholders.•Assessing the needs of the client and the requirements of the project.•Researching and sourcing new products and finishes appropriate to the style andrequirements of the project.•Work to tight deadlines and prioritising workloads
