My name is Tim McCowan and I am a third year medical sciences student at Dalhousie University. I am currently interested in gaining research experience, and I have applicable skills and experience in multiple research fields including data analysis and bench work. I am involved in multiple volunteer organizations, including being an executive member at Dalhousie's chapter of the Heart4Heart charity, where I am in charge of organizing charity events for raising money to supply children with life-saving heart surgery. I am a varsity athlete on Dalhousie's varsity swim team which entails over 18 hours of training a week, that I have balanced with maintaining a 4.16/4.30 cumulative GPA.I am always open to new projects, and looking for ways to gain exposure in fields that involve medicine, research or first aid.
