The Light Garden Tour

Manage all technical aspects of this show aimed at pre-school children including: managing, maintaining and transporting all equipment, pre-production liaison with venues, leading “get in’s” and “get out’s” and operating all technical elements of the show - sound, lights and AV.

This included: - Working closely with the Venue Management Team, the Venue Delivery Team and the Logistics Materials Planners to schedule the delivery and deployment of all the necessary fixtures, fittings and equipment (FF&E) required to stage the Mountain Bike event at this unique, purpose built venue.… Show more Venue Logistics Manager responsible for strategic planning and operational delivery of logistics services at the Hadleigh Farm Mountain Bike venue for the London 2012 Olympic Games. This included: - Working closely with the Venue Management Team, the Venue Delivery Team and the Logistics Materials Planners to schedule the delivery and deployment of all the necessary fixtures, fittings and equipment (FF&E) required to stage the Mountain Bike event at this unique, purpose built venue. - Managing 2 deputies and a logistics crew of 12 agency staff, plus all the all terrain vehicles, mobility golf buggies, forklift trucks and other manual handling equipment on venue. - The Logistics function assisted all other functional areas on venue setting up their work spaces, moving equipment, receiving deliveries and generally being on hand to assist in the set up of the venue. One important client group was Olympic Broadcast Services, the people that put the game on the television. This was a very crucial relationship to manage, balancing the needs of the venue as a whole with the specific needs of OBS. - At the end of the Games Logistics has to retrieve all the FF&E and return it to the warehouse correctly palletized and labeled to enable the disolution process. - Actively involved in interviewing and selecting Deputy Venue Logistics Managers. Blast on Tour was a nationwide tour by the BBC that set out to inspire and encourage creativity in teenagers. We offered free workshops in areas such as film making, radio production and dance. As Site Manager I was involved in planning each year’s tour and was responsible for the day to day operational management of each event.
