I have a vast retail and marketing background within large format, specialty retail. Having been a Store Manager, Area Manager and National Advertising Manager, I understand how to speak to the consumer, as well as how to build and coach a team for success. I am a huge believer in making the workplace a fun place to be, while achieving our goals.Having spent 7 years with Petbarn, I’ve worked first hand at growing the business, steering it through digitalisation and a changing retail marketplace. Throughout this time, I have been directly involved in acquisitions, re-branding and a lot of new growth. Nationally we grew from 42 stores to 200 within 7 years. Across my tenure in the Victorian region, I grew from 7 to 12 stores. I really enjoy having a diverse team of personalities around me, so we can challenge each other and find new ways to grow. As a results orientated and goal driven Area Manager, I am very visible to my team, and at the same time, I encourage accountability and empower Managers and teams to make decisions within their own store. Having come from a National Advertising role has given me a great insight into what customers are looking for, and how to provide a solution for them in almost every instance.
