My position at Reprospace, LLC (DBA Kitsap Printing) includes Graphic Design work for marketing and branding material, newsletters, newspapers, book interior pages, book covers, product catalogs, and magazines. The company also provides printing and finishing work, which includes bookbinding, magazine stapling, cutting and folding. I also support projects to create booklets, flyers, and transactional products like business forms and log books. Support establishing an effective business infrastructure and optimizing the operational business model. This includes the book design, book printing, and marketing aspect of the business. Part of my role is to work closely with book authors one-on-one to create quality literature and appealing book layouts. Together with the management team, I guide authors through the book and magazine publishing process.

Operations ManagerResponsible for all operations at Pierce County Community Newspaper Group. I work closely with the Publisher and oversee all departments including Sales, Editorial, Production, I.T. and circulation. I work closely with the heads of each department to ensure we meet deadlines and produce the best product. I also work closely with all outside vendors and presses to create deadlines and to achieve the best prices and product. I meet with the Managing Editor and his staff weekly to go over story ideas and ways to improve our goal of reporting community news.Production Manager - Graphic DesignerResponsible for all production dealing with 4 newspapers: Tacoma Weekly, Fife Free Press, Milton-Edgewood Signal, and Puyallup Tribal News. I manage a team of 4 production artists and handle most office managing responsibilities. Responsible for layout and design of existing and “spec” advertising, front page designs and overall layout of all papers. I do troubleshooting for customer and agency art, and the training of new co-workers.

Pre-PressI was responsible for the processes and procedures that occurred between the creation of a print layout and the final printing. My responsibilities included creating printing plates, readying plates for mounting on a printing press and adjusting images and text of high-quality print files.

Production Artist – Graphic Designer Responsible for layout and design of existing and “spec” advertising, troubleshooting customer and agency art, and training of new co-workers. Lead person to the production of Auto’s Illustrated. The employee of the Month in December 2004 and March 2006.

Responsible for organization and maintaining of all files and file rooms. Made sure all documents and files made it to the clients and courthouse in a timely manner. Responsible for turning the file system into a “paperless” file system and teaching others how to use the system.

As the Asst. Baker, my responsibilities were to manage a small crew, write delivery orders, write schedules and prepare all baked goods needed for the day. As a Night Stocker/Checker, I was responsible for stocking shelves, writing grocery orders, handling back stock, assisting customers, and checking out groceries.
