As a Technical Account Manager with ShadowLens, my goal is to empower organisations to meet their Security, Risk, and Governance goals by implementing robust Security and Data Policies, particularly Data Loss Prevention (DLP).With a background in Finance, I understand the intricacies of adapting to the ever-evolving compliance landscapes. I've positioned myself uniquely to bridge the gap between Compliance Teams and IT Engineers/IT Security teams. This role is more critical than ever, especially as organisations embark on their journey to comply with APRA requirements on Information Security.APRA's new requirements demand meticulous data classification into sensitivity categories, ensuring PII, PCI, and PHI data protection and labelling. We are here to guide organisations whether APRA-regulated or not through this journey seamlessly, matching their Compliance with their Technical needs.

In one of the quirkier ways to enter the financial services sector, I commenced with TraderCircle having initially met the team when learning how to trade as a student at one of their trading education courses. Getting to know TradersCircle as a client, learning their trading methods and analytic tools, I joined the Team on a full-time basis in 2012 working through various roles which included customer service, advisory, education, and trading. Gaining this valuable experience across all departments within the business, I was appointed Head Trader in 2016 whilst also developing and teaching the Options Trading education course which first introduced me to the business. In this role, it has given me great pleasure in assisting investors to understand financial markets through technical analysis which enables everyday Australians to make informed investment decisions with the right tools at their disposal. Having worked closely on a 1-on-1 basis with clients at TradersCircle, I saw firsthand the changing needs and interests of retail investors as technology emerged to provide accessibility and information to retail investors like never before. Listening to what information and tools retail investors were looking for, TradersCircle partnered with Emerald Financial in 2018 to expand our services to include equities trading and portfolio management. Since joining forces and being appointed General Manager, I have led various integration projects which have seen the establishment of Emerald Portfolio, Emerald Execution and Emerald Equities Research. The best thing about this role is that I can share my knowledge with clients and team members whilst also being able to apply my passion for trading, within an entrepreneurial environment.
