I created CENSPACE in 2001 in order to fulfill a niche market in Colorado to provide clear, concise damage assessment services and practical engineering solutions for buildings that utilize premanufactured wood trusses. Due to environmental conditions specific to Colorado, such as heavy snow loads, high winds and the strict building codes that govern safe structural design building practices, I tailored my company's structural engineering focus to truss design, inspection and repair. I am uniquely qualified to guide you through all facets of truss design, modification and repair for your residential or light commercial building project.I have served as an expert truss witness in litigation cases and am typically hired to solve unique projects that fit this niche market since there are not many engineers in Colorado that have the knowledge, experience and tools that we have to address truss problems. I can assume complex structural engineering projects but typically do not become involved with across-the-board engineering services or architectural work due to the high level of focus required for specialization in roof engineering. I like to spend about half my time in the field looking at real life builidng projects in the works and the other half in the office looking at the theoretical aspects of engineering.
