Undertaking project managing the programme overlay to ensure that Olympic venues supplied by the ODA were fit for operation. Managing 4 project managers who in turn led three separate venues. Fitting out venues prior to operation, operation during the games and post games decommissioning. Understanding client needs prior to construction. Client groups included catering, transport and most importantly, the IOC and athletes. Ensuring that venues associated with the games were bettered than those which had gone before. The overall scheme included installing tents, toilets and temporary accommodation. Power, water, communications, fencing and lighting were also overlaid. Stairs, ramps, service bridges, service gantries, public scoreboard structures, broadcast schemes and field of play were also installed. Management of the Principle contractor on civil engineering schemes and compiling civil works prior to overlay installation. Leading my team to ensure that venues were run in a manner fitting for a world class event.

Creation, implementation and active planning of the nationwide project to clear up redundant scrap rail on the entire British railways system. Raising the public’s perception of a ‘clean’ railway for customers travelling on the infrastructure. Identification and tracking of all redundant material removed by major renewal works. Accountable for all serviceable and waste materials arriving and departing TMA depots throughout the country. Liaising with staff at all grades via formal meetings to ensure the relevant people were onboard with the progression of the project. Development and implementation of new processes between maintenance, renewals and minor works for the immediate removal of scrap. Implementation of a long term, robust strategy with buy in from all departments for the removal and selling of serviceable materials for the most competitive prices. Projected income from the scheme = £2m+.
