About Tim Niblett

Having 'earned my stripes' in systems adminstration and networking, the last 13 years have seen me specialise in IT Security and most recently I have extended my experience into various realms of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). I have a strong hands-on technical background in IT Security Systems including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, remote access and content management systems, all backed up by a number of vendor associations and major projects implemented across the defence, finance and public sectors.My more recent experience has taken in the wider scope of ISMS and GRC as I have taken on Management roles responsible for the delivery and governance of security controls in significant environments. I have directly managed delivery teams and also managed outsourced environments, two scenarios with very different sets of challenges.I have displayed consitent dilligence and professional development throughout my career receiving a number of formal acknowledgements and gaining CISSP and CISM certification, recently achieving the top score in the Oceania region in the CISM exam.
