I provided in-house legal support to the relationship banking teams in both the corporate banking and institutional banking divisions with a broad range of customers. Customers included national car dealerships, retirement accommodation providers, healthcare providers, mining services contractors, public hotel chains, national professional partnerships, national retailers and others.This support involved negotiating lending documents and securities, providing advice on lending structures, corporate benefit, financial assistance, land tenure agreements, confidentiality agreements and key contracts and liaising with external counsel.I also worked on a number of special projects including developing international security documentation, maintaining corporate banking facility documentation and advising on electronic communication methods.

During this time, I acted for a diverse range of matters for major lenders and borrowers. Some of the key matters that I worked on include:- acting for a domestic bank by developing a range of standard corporate banking facility documentation (including property finance terms)- acting for an Australian hotel owner in the restructure of its corporate finance facilities with a syndicate of Australian and international banks secured against its portfolio of Australian and international hotel properties- acting for joint venture parties in relation to their investment debt facilities or construction debt facilities connected either to their portfolio investments or to their property-specific investments in Australia- acting for a sovereign fund in relation to its corporate debt facilities from an Australian bank secured against its portfolio of direct and indirect Australian property interests- acting for the sponsors of a water treatment project by managing the due diligence process and negotiating land tenure agreementsI also have experience in negotiating land sale agreements, leases and subleases, agreements for lease, licences, easements and other tenure documents including in enforcement scenarios.
