Maintains and operates engines and generators by checking and adjusting operating parameters (pressures, temperatures, and other factors defined by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor), lubricating the machinery, and performing routine preventative maintenance; informs the Rig Maintenance Supervisor of any mechanical discrepancies.Maintains the engine log on a daily basis.Maintains and operates auxiliary equipment, including air compressors, pumps, fuel centrifuges, sewage treatment system, oil and water separator, and heat exchangers.Uses, maintains, stores, and repairs hand and power tools.Maintains a clean and safe work area. Lines up and operates fire pumps and other emergency equipment during an emergency.Assists with transferring bulk materials to and from supply vessels.Assists in rigging, slinging, and lifting loads.Assists other departments when directed by supervisor.Participates in drills and exercises as a member of an emergency team.Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System.Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
