BIO:For over 30 years Tim has been a master carpenter with passion for detail, striving to find a better way of building. He was craft instructor for Wyoming Construction Education Institute using the National Center for Construction Education and Research curriculum, then Laramie County Community College as Instructor of Construction Technology, where he developed and executed his curriculum. This allowed for new style of building education using Energy Star, DOE Building America Program, and USGBC LEED program. At the University of Wyoming, Tim taught Agriculture Structures and wrote the Construction Trades Curriculum for Eastern Nebraska Community College. Nyquist implemented Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Energy technology using Building Science. One student built home recieved a 34 HERS score. Two student built homes were featured in Homes across America and can be viewed at: www.homes-accross-america.org (look for region 8,Laramie WY). Nyquist's work was also featured with one home on the Wyoming PBS Series; Wyoming Signatures ('Student Built Zero Energy Home'). While at LCCC, Nyquist recieved a Golden Apple Grant for educators and the 2009 Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation Award for Dedication and Education of Wyoming's at risk youth.Specialties: Training & implementing; Advanced framing, constructive use of construction wast, Building Envelope - including; air, thermal & moisture berriors, green project management.
